Runnin' for Prestin
& All Kids
The 10K course will share part of the 5K route, but is not a double looped course.
In 2020, the 5K and 10K run and walk will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 8:00 a.m. at Washington Park in Michigan City.
We will continue to have the theme of Heroes in honor and memory of all of our loved ones who have faced or battled cancer. Those who pre-register can run in honor or memory of a Hero in their life that has battled cancer. Names of Heroes will line the course.
Running to end childhood cancer!
Presently, Prestin is 18 years old and cancer free. However, he still faces the challenges of what cancer has done to his body and the daily fear of it's return. Through his journey, his family discovered that very little research dollars go towards pediatric cancer research, less than 4%. Daily 46 children will be diagnosed and 7 children will die from cancer. Prestin's dream is to raise money to go towards pediatric cancer research so that one day-0 children will die and 0 will be diagnosed!
